Building the B.E.S.T. Community
For more than 17 years, the Pass Christian DeLisle – Marsha Barbour Community Center has been a safe place for children, families, and neighbors to learn, connect, and grow.
STEM Camp
Since 2017, we have welcomed over 200 girls aged 10 to 14 to our Explore the B.E.S.T. You STEM Camp, introducing them to science, technology, engineering, and math in a fun and engaging way.
Future Projects
Expand our STEM camp by adding the Arts. This enhancement will support our mission of empowering the whole person, aligning with the educational shift adopted by schools along the Coast.
Karate & Swim Camp
Additionally, hundreds of children have participated in our karate and swim camps, where they gain not only physical and recreational skills, but also discipline, confidence and lifesaving abilities.
Since 2021
The non-profit was officially established in 2021, and the 501(c)(3) designation was officially granted in 2023. A dedicated group of community volunteers has been leading this effort since 2014 to uplift and strengthen our community. Through the B.E.S.T. Community Camps and other learning opportunities, we have created pathways for children to thrive.
Together, these opportunities help children learn, grow, and strengthen their self-esteem and character. By equipping them with the tools to succeed, we are nurturing empowered young people who will one day serve as engaged, valuable contributors to the community. Together, We Build Up One Another to Keep Our Community Strong.

What Others Say…
Through educational, recreational, fine arts and STEM programs, along with financial literacy workshops, health initiatives and long-term housing opportunities, it is our goal to build our community’s confidence, and open doors that might otherwise remain closed.
